One of my best friend gave me a sample pack of Star Bucks coffee. It was really a sample. The “Not for Sale” words are written on package. I brewed a cup and and was amazed. It was one of the best coffee I have tasted. They have the reason to price their coffee high.
I never transfered the remaining ground coffee to airtight container. I just tied it with a rubber band and placed inside refrigerator. I planned to brew the rest for next days.
My everyday busy life continues and I forgot the coffee. I saw it again after more than one year. It was not noticeable cause it was underneath other food stuffs.
I wondered if it is still good. I brewed a single serving. The taste is still very good. Though there was slight decrease in flavor and aroma.
Storing ground coffee in refrigerator is a good option. Cold temperature slows down the process of deterioration.
