I bought this ice-cold coffee drink not because I want to drink some cold coffee. I bought it because the packaging looks really nice. The package resembles a grenade, full of power and ready to explode anytime. I found the coffee inside the shelf chiller with other ready to drink beverages.
The product packaging is very different from the regular beverage can. This reminds me of one function of food packaging. The commodity container must talk for itself, it must grab customers attention. This coffee latte grabbed my attention because of its grenade-like shape.
A new food product packed in a common packaging may not play well in the marketplace even if the content is of high quality. A good and unique packaging plus good contents are essential for successful food entrepreneurial project. So the next time you design a food package, make it unique and beautiful.
